Angie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Leiomyosarcoma on her 40th birthday, March 23, 2020
The initial surgery to remove the 1st (grapefruit size) tumor, also included a full hysterectomy
Three months later, there were over a dozen inoperable tumors.
She's had 15 rounds of radiation and in the middle of her 21 rounds of chemo , they added a full treatment of radiation.
The tumor growth slowed, but she got so sick from the treatment, she decided to take a break from all treatments until they showed growth.
For the past 5 years, she's been on a schedule of scans every 3 months and no significant growth of the tumors.
She's since developed a very dangerous blood clot in her heart, common with cancer.
Then, there's the brain fog. Making good decisions is harder and unfortunately she fell victim to a scam and lost her truck to a thief! She was selling it to get an easier mode of transportation, to be able to sell her woodwork at artisan markets.
All this and she considers herself lucky!
She was told there was a 14% she would make it 5 years
and she just did it!
Cinco tea is her favorite. in part, because that's the tea that she met her wife, Darcy!
